Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking a Service Desk Associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services on the service desk, sales floor, and at the register. You will contribute to safety, accuracy in transactions, and thorough vehicle service knowledge, while maintaining a clean, organized shop.

Responsibilities include handling calls and in-store inquiries, processing work orders, and assisting management with customer care and daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• 1 year of related experience in automotive service.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic math ability for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store; engages customers, schedules appointments, builds trust, communicates processes and timelines, and sells parts and service.
• Organizes and maintains service business through work orders and register transactions, inspections, and knowledge of parts and services.
• Under management direction, assists in customer care, work orders, register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering.
• Adheres to cash, credit, check, refund and return policies; works with management to address customer service issues and opportunities.
• Performs express automotive services such as tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, and battery testing; inspects vehicles thoroughly.
• Leads safety procedures and ensures wheel torque and fluids are serviced per SOPs.
• Works with management to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Communicates effectively with associates, management, and customers.
