Job summary

Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack of Puerto Rico, Inc. is seeking a service desk associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services to keep vehicles running at peak efficiency.

You will handle store and phone inquiries, process transactions, and work with management to ensure safety and customer satisfaction. Prior automotive service and sales exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related automotive service experience.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math skills for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store. Engage customers, schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, communicate processes and timelines, and sell parts and service that keep the customer's car running at peak efficiency.
• Organize and drive productivity of the service business through work order and register transactions, vehicle inspections, and service/part knowledge.
• Assist in customer care, work order/register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering under management.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, checks, refunds and returns. Address customer service issues, complaints, and opportunities with management.
• Conduct routine express automotive services: tire mounting/balancing/rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filter/bulb replacement, battery testing and installation, cosmetic services, and thorough vehicle inspections.
