Job summary

Pep Boys Inc is seeking a customer-facing associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services that keep cars running smoothly. You will work at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register, ensuring accurate transactions and knowledge-based advice.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to company policies, with opportunities for growth in a busy automotive retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions; able to apply formulas for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for customers in-store or by phone.
• Assist with work orders, register transactions, and product knowledge.
• Support management with customer care, service, and parts sales.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, refunds and returns.
• Perform routine express automotive services as trained.
• Maintain safety procedures and keep shop organized.
• Communicate effectively with associates and customers.
• Open and close the store with basic responsibilities.
• Assist in outside purchase (OP) ordering.
• Other duties as assigned.
