Job summary

Pep Boys in Katy, TX is seeking a customer-focused team member for service desk, sales floor, and register duties. You will engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services that keep vehicles running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of automotive service or sales experience. You will work with management to ensure accurate transactions and excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of mathematical concepts used for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers by phone or in-store, engage customers, schedule appointments, and upsell parts and services.
• Maintain organization and productivity of service operations through accurate work orders and register transactions; assist with vehicle inspections and parts knowledge.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, register support, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering as needed.
• Adhere to all policies on cash handling, credits, and refunds; address customer service issues and complaints promptly.
• Conduct express automotive services (tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, fluid top-offs, bulb replacements) and ensure safety procedures are followed.
