Job summary

Pep Boys in Houston is seeking a customer-focused Retail Service Desk Associate to engage customers, explain parts and services, schedule appointments, and process transactions at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register.

You will perform express automotive services, maintain safety, and support management with opening and closing tasks while delivering excellent customer care and meeting sales goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1 year of related automotive service experience.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Good math skills for commissions and discounts.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Be first point of contact for customers in-store and over the phone.
• Schedule appointments and sell parts and services to meet customer needs.
• Process work orders and register transactions accurately.
• Perform express automotive services and inspections per SOP.
• Maintain safety and organize the shop.
• Assist management with opening/closing responsibilities.
• Adhere to cash, credit, and return policies.
• Handle customer issues and opportunities with management guidance.
