Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers seeks an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, report to the Store Manager, and coach a high-performing team. You will drive service quality, optimize processes, and collaborate with technicians to deliver superior customer experiences.

You will also manage staffing decisions, inventory, safety, and adherence to company standards, while maintaining strong communication with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lead a fast-paced, organized store team.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA laws and MSDS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coaching to the service team to improve performance.
• Oversee recruiting decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Plan and schedule technicians and service personnel; assign work.
• Interact with customers on sales, service, and opportunities.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service department staff.
• Manage parts inventory and purchasing per program requirements.
• Ensure store safety and proper equipment layout.
• Supervise shop area and equipment for safety compliance.
• Enforce wheel torqueing process and proper inspections.
