Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, develop a high-performing team, and partner with the Store Manager to drive excellence in operations.

You will coach technicians, optimize service processes in-store, and interact with customers on sales and service opportunities while ensuring safety and compliance. A minimum of 2 years in a Service Manager role is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with recruiting and final employment decisions.
• Supervise technicians and service personnel; schedule duties and assignments.
• Coach teammates on operations, ISI systems, and service standards.
• Interact with customers on sales, service, opportunities, and adjustments.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service department staff.
• Manage parts inventory and external purchases within program guidelines.
• Ensure store safety and proper equipment layout in the service area.
• Supervise shop area and uphold safety procedures.
• Coach on enforcing wheel torqueing process; ensure proper inspections.
