Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is hiring an Automotive Service Manager in Alabama to lead the service department, coach technicians, and drive performance. You will work closely with the Store Manager to recruit, plan duties, and ensure safety and quality in service operations.

Qualifications

• Outstanding leadership and store management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role.
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives.
• Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team.
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws and MSDS Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians and service personnel, plan and schedule their duties, assign work, and follow up on completion.
• Coach service department teammates on operational issues and ISI systems and service standards.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on recruiting decisions and staffing.
• Interact with customers in sales, service, and opportunities to address concerns and close opportunities.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service department staff.
• Manage parts inventory and external purchases, ensure compliance with Tire Purchase Program, restock as needed.
• Ensure store safety and proper use of safety equipment; maintain equipment layout.
• Supervise shop area, equipment, and team in accordance with safety procedures.
• Coach staff on wheel torqueing processes and ensure proper inspections.
