Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department with a hands-on, coaching approach. You will develop a motivated team, partner with the Store Manager, and implement store processes for efficiency and excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, a record of exceeding objectives, and the ability to manage technicians, parts, and safety in a fast-paced setting at our Birmingham location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role.
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the service team and supervise technicians and service personnel.
• Plan and schedule duties, assign work, and follow up on completion.
• Coach team on operational issues and ISI system processes.
• Work directly with customers in sales, service, and opportunities.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service staff.
• Manage parts inventory and supervise purchases for Tire Purchase Program.
• Ensure store safety and proper equipment layout in the service area.
• Enforce wheel torqueing process and conduct proper inspections.
