Midas in Michigan is seeking Automotive Managers in Training/Service Writers to develop into store managers while handling basic service and sales tasks. You will learn phone handling, appointment setting and customer interactions as part of an internal promotion path.

This role includes delivering exceptional customer service, building repair orders, presenting pricing estimates, supervising technicians, managing inventory and keeping the shop clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years store or service manager experience preferred but not required.
• General automotive knowledge
• Excellent customer service disposition
• Good communication skills
• Leadership ability
• Team-building skills
• Ability to follow directions & process
• Ability to use computers & software
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
• Valid driver’s license

Responsabilités

• Deliver exceptional customer service while listening to and consulting customers
• Following up with customers, services requested, estimated completion times etc.
• Oversee complete vehicle inspections and then make comprehensive recommendations—building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts
• Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers as well as promoting shop service specials
• Oversee technicians’ inspections, diagnosing and repairing of domestic, European and Asian cars and light trucks
• Maintain inventory counts
• Overall cleanliness and organization of the facility
• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and very basic technician jobs
• Other duties as assigned
