Job summary

Midas is seeking Automotive Managers in Training/Service Writers to develop into Store Managers. This role blends service, sales, and customer interaction, with training to handle calls, appointments, and walk-ins.

You will oversee inspections, generate repair orders, discuss pricing, promote specials, and support technicians while maintaining inventory and shop organization. Benefits include health, PTO, paid training, and a 5-day work week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of store or service manager experience preferred.
• General automotive knowledge.
• Excellent customer service disposition.
• Good communication skills.
• Leadership ability.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to follow directions & processes.
• Ability to use computers & software.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while listening to and consulting customers.
• Following up with customers, services requested, estimated completion times etc.
• Oversee complete vehicle inspections and then make comprehensive recommendations—building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts.
• Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers as well as promoting shop service specials.
• Oversee technicians’ inspections, diagnosing and repairing of domestic, European and Asian cars and light trucks.
• Maintain inventory counts.
• Overall cleanliness and organization of the facility.
• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and very basic technician jobs.
• Other duties as assigned.
