Job summary

Midas is seeking Automotive Managers in Training/Service Writers. This Store Manager developmental role emphasizes customer service, basic service and sales, and training to handle phone calls, set appointments, and interact with customers.

Responsibilities include delivering exceptional service, overseeing inspections, presenting pricing, supervising technicians, and maintaining shop efficiency. The role offers growth opportunities, paid training, and performance-based pay enhancements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of store or service manager experience preferred but not required.
• General automotive knowledge.
• Excellent customer service disposition.
• Good communication skills.
• Leadership ability.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to follow directions and process.
• Ability to use computers and software.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while listening to and consulting customers
• Follow up with customers, services requested, estimated completion times etc.
• Oversee complete vehicle inspections and then make comprehensive recommendations—building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts
• Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers as well as promoting shop service specials
• Oversee technicians’ inspections, diagnosing and repairing of domestic, European and Asian cars and light trucks
• Maintain inventory counts
• Overall cleanliness and organization of the facility
• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and very basic technician jobs
• Other duties as assigned
