Job summary

Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers is seeking a Service Manager in Training at our Edwardsville, IL location. You will work with store leadership to learn service and repair operations, ensuring quality, timeliness, safety and effective staff management.

The role focuses on developing the skills to manage day-to-day service and repair tasks, optimize service sales, and uphold customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the automotive repair industry as a technician, service advisor, or service manager.
• Strong technical acumen of automotive repair standards, tools, processes, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and POS systems (VAST) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Learn to interview, select and train service technicians with guidance from Store Manager.
• Assist in evaluating knowledge, skills and performance of technicians and advise on development.
• Support achievement of service sales dollars, gross profit, customer satisfaction, and safety goals.
• Assist in planning daily work orders including time, tools, and materials required.
• Provide technical support for diagnostic and repair requests for various makes/models.
