Job summary

Mills Auto Group in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to oversee the service department, customer service, operations, and profitability. This full-time role features a base salary plus commission, with total compensation ranging from $110,000 to $150,000 per year, paid semi-monthly.

You will lead service technicians and staff, maintain high customer satisfaction, monitor expenses, and implement strategies to increase revenue.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an OEM automotive service management role.
• Proven profitability in managing a service department.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with dealership software and systems (CDK).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of service technicians and support staff.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through timely and efficient service.
• Monitor and improve profitability by analyzing and controlling expenses.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase service department revenue.
• Review and approve service estimates and invoices for accuracy and fair pricing.
• Oversee inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Train and mentor service department employees to achieve goals.
• Create and maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
• Handle customer escalations and resolve service-related issues.
• Stay updated on industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
