Qualifications

• Automotive repair, service advising, shop foreman, or service management experience.
• Ability to evaluate repair estimates, diagnoses, and completed work.
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Comfort using repair-order and basic reporting systems.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record suitable for operating customer and company vehicles.
• A commitment to honest communication, vehicle safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assign work, set completion expectations, and follow up on progress.
• Review inspections, diagnoses, estimates, repair orders, and completed repairs.

• Keep customers and leadership informed with accurate repair updates.
• Coach employees on productivity, workmanship, safety, and documentation.

LR Auto Sales is hiring a Service Manager to lead our vehicle reconditioning and repair department. This position oversees two mechanics and two detail employees, coordinates outside repair vendors, and keeps vehicles moving from arrival through final inspection and release.

Responsibilities

• Plan the daily schedule for reconditioning, customer repairs, warranty work, and comebacks.
• Assign work, set completion expectations, and follow up on progress throughout the day.
• Review inspections, diagnoses, estimates, repair orders, and completed repairs.
• Track each vehicle’s status, costs, parts, and expected completion date.
• Coordinate outside vendors and communicate delays promptly.
• Ensure every vehicle receives a final quality and safety check before release.
• Keep customers and company leadership informed with accurate repair updates.
• Coach employees on productivity, workmanship, safety, and documentation.

Our goal is to have standard reconditioning completed and vehicles ready for sale within four to five calendar days. The Service Manager is responsible for identifying delays early and helping the team resolve them.
