Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive in Montgomery, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, splitting time between the service bay, the front counter, and the back office to deliver fast, high‑quality automotive service.

This hands-on role requires leading by example, coaching technicians and service advisors, scheduling coverage for peak periods, onboarding new teammates, and upholding safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and lead the location in the manager's absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling team members to ensure proper coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Help onboard and train new team members on service procedures, point-of-sale systems, and customer service standards.
