J. Allen Automotive in Gulfport, MS is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher to help keep the service bay running smoothly. You’ll route repair orders to technicians, update service advisors in real time, and monitor daily shop flow to maximize efficiency and uptime.

Ideal candidates bring automotive shop experience, strong communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time role with Saturday rotation.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an automotive shop environment or similar role.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of automotive repair and shop flow.
• Clear, proactive communication and strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Ability to multitask and organize repair orders effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Distribute repair orders to technicians based on skill level and shop capacity.
• Provide real-time updates to Service Advisors about vehicle progress and delays.
• Monitor open jobs, track carryovers, and maintain stall turnover throughout the day.
• Ensure work moves safely through the shop and meets dealership standards.
