Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is seeking a customer-focused team member to engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services that keep vehicles running at peak performance.

As the first contact on the floor or on the phone, you will assist with work orders, register transactions, and ensure accurate cash handling while upholding company policies. Prior experience in automotive service and sales is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in automotive service.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math concepts for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers in store or on the phone, engaging customers and scheduling appointments.
• Assist in service desk, work orders, and register transactions.
• Provide knowledge of parts and services to drive customer satisfaction and sales.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, checks, refunds, and returns; address customer issues with management support.
• Perform express automotive services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance checks.
