Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a Customer Service/Sales Associate to engage customers at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register, delivering expert product and service knowledge to help cars run at peak efficiency. Responsibilities include greeting customers, scheduling appointments, processing transactions, performing routine express automotive services, and communicating timelines.

The role requires strong verbal and customer service skills, a valid driver's license, and a high school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store. Schedules appointments, builds trust, communicates processes and timelines, and sells parts and services.
• Responsible for organization and productivity of the service business through work orders and register transactions, thorough vehicle inspections, and service knowledge.
• Assists in various aspects of customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering.
• Follow policies related to cash, credit, check, refund and returns; address customer service issues and opportunities.
• Conducts express automotive services including tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, and vehicle inspections.
• Promotes safety procedures and ensures services are performed per SOP directives.
• Communicates effectively with associates, management, and customers; supports opening/closing in designated locations.
• Maintains an organized and neat shop and adheres to all policies and safety rules.
