Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is seeking a customer-focused associate to engage shoppers at the service desk, sales floor, and register across all lines of business. You will schedule appointments, explain processes, and upsell parts and services to help customers keep their cars running at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, transactions, and vehicle inspections while obeying company policies. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and at least one year

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store. Engages customers, schedules appointments, builds trust, communicates processes and timelines, and sells parts and service.
• Organizes service business through work orders and register transactions, thorough vehicle inspections, and service/parts knowledge.
• Assists in customer care, work orders, register assistance, and facility maintenance under Management.
• Adheres to cash, credit, check, refund and return policies and reports customer service issues to management.
• Performs routine express automotive services: tire mounting/balancing/rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, inspections.
• Maintains safety procedures and ensures wheel torque and oil/fluid services follow SOPs.
• Maintains a safe, healthy work environment in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Communicates effectively with associates, management, and customers.
• Supports opening/closing responsibilities as Key holder and keeps shop organized.
• Adheres to all company policies, safety, and environmental rules.
