Job summary

Trust Automotive Group - Irvine Acura is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in Irvine, CA. You will greet and advise customers, assess needed services, and prepare repair orders, while handling costs estimation and customer permission for additional work.

The role reports to the Service Manager and includes a compensation package with commissions, reflecting focus on customer satisfaction and service profitability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of Automotive Service Advisor/Writing.
• Working knowledge of automotive products, repairs, and parts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate customers’ needs to workable technician orders.
• Strong writing and typing skills.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver’s license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under shop insurance policy.

In this position you would be responsible for advising and greeting customers; listening to their description of the problems or service needed, determining the type of service required, and preparing repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, you will estimate the additional cost and telephone the customer for permission to do the work. You would report directly to the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of Automotive Service Advisor/Writing
• Working knowledge and experience of automotive products, repairs, and parts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate customers’ needs to workable technician orders
• Strong writing and typing skills

• Ability to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under shop insurance policy (Not an excluded driver)
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Salary Range: $16.50 + commission
