Ric Henry’s Auto Service is seeking a proactive Service Manager to lead customer interactions, oversee shop operations, and drive sales performance. You will coordinate inspections, repairs, parts, and schedules, while guiding technicians to maintain quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: Communicating with customers, understanding their concerns, explaining repairs, and obtaining authorization.
• Service advising: Reviewing inspections and repair recommendations and helping customers make informed decisions.
• Shop workflow: Coordinating vehicles, technicians, parts, and repair schedules to keep work moving efficiently.
• Technician management: Assigning work, monitoring productivity and quality, and helping resolve technical or workflow issues.
• Quality control: Ensuring repairs are performed correctly and vehicles are properly inspected before delivery.
• Estimating & sales: Reviewing estimates, presenting needed repairs, and helping increase the shop's average repair order and car count.
• Parts coordination: Working with parts suppliers to ensure the correct parts arrive on time.
• Financial performance: Monitoring labor sales, parts sales, gross profit, productivity, comebacks, and other key performance indicators.
• Employee leadership: Hiring, training, coaching, and holding employees accountable.
• Customer retention: Building trust and creating an experience that brings customers back and generates referrals.
• Safety & compliance: Making sure the shop follows applicable safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
