Job summary

Doggett Automotive Group in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Service Writer to support the Service Department with customer service needs, work orders, and processing of equipment repairs. You will assist in quoting, scheduling, and ensuring smooth daily shop operations.

You will greet customers, inform them of estimated costs, coordinate parts and labor for repairs, and communicate progress and status to customers to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2-4 years’ experience in automotive/construction service administrator role preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Department with customer service needs and scheduling.
• Process work orders and repair quotes; manage daily shop operations.
• Coordinate parts and labor requirements with Service Manager for work orders.
• Open/close work orders and provide clerical support including data entry.
• Communicate repair status and estimated costs to customers.
