Job summary

John Jones Auto Group is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, listen to needs, and schedule appointments. You may also arrange loaner cars and verify insurance before maintenance is scheduled.

Responsibilities include reporting vehicle symptoms, estimating costs, and updating customers on progress. A background in a dealership and a strong customer satisfaction track record are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in service department.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly.
• Obtain customer and vehicle information.
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts.
• Establish follow up time.
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently.
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers.
