Job summary

Pep Boys Prattville, AL is seeking a Customer Service Associate to engage customers, share expert product and service knowledge, schedule appointments, and drive parts and service sales at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register.

In this role you will manage work orders, assist with vehicle inspections, follow cash, credit, refund policies, and perform express services such as oil changes and tire care while maintaining a safe, organized shop and effective communication with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 1 year of related automotive service experience.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math skills for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First contact with customers by phone and in-store; engage, schedule, and drive parts and service sales.
• Organize and manage service work orders and register transactions, vehicle knowledge.
• Assist in various customer care tasks and shop operations under management.
• Follow all policies on cash, credit, refunds and returns; address issues.
• Conduct express automotive services such as oil changes, tire work, and inspections.
• Maintain safety procedures and a clean, organized shop environment.
• Communicate effectively with employees and customers; support opening/closing tasks if needed.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.

Skills

High school diploma / equivalent

Valid Driver's License

1 year automotive service experience
