Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a service desk associate to engage customers, apply product and service knowledge, schedule appointments, and guide them from greeting to checkout across the service desk, sales floor, and register. You will drive parts and service sales while maintaining a neat shop, handling transactions, and upholding safety and customer care standards in a fast-paced automotive retail environment.

The role requires strong communication, ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of mathematical concepts for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First contact for customers by phone and in-store; engages customers, schedules appointments, and sells parts and services.
• Organizes and manages service work orders and register transactions; knowledgeable on vehicles and services.
• Assists management with customer care, work orders, register tasks, and facility upkeep.
• Adheres to cash, credit, checks, refunds, and returns policies; addresses service issues and opportunities.
• Conducts routine express automotive services including tire work, oil changes, and inspections.
• Supports safety procedures and proper wheel/tire and oil/fluid service practices.
• Maintains a safe, clean shop and complies with policies and laws.
