Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is hiring for a Service Advisor/Sales Associate to engage customers, schedule service, and drive parts and service sales on the sales floor, at the service desk, and at the register.

You will assist with service orders, perform basic automotive services, and ensure adherence to safety and company procedures while delivering excellent customer care and accurate transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• One year of experience in automotive service.
• One year of sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers in store or by phone and drive sales.
• Schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, communicate processes and timelines, and sell parts and service.
• Assist with customer care, work orders and register transactions, and knowledge of parts and service.
• Follow policies related to cash, credit, return and refunds; address complaints and opportunities with management.
• Perform express automotive services including tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrication, filter/bulb replacement, and inspections.
• Ensure safety procedures and wheel torque, oil and fluid services per SOP directives.
• Collaborate with management for a safe, healthy work environment and compliance with laws and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers.
• In some locations may assist with opening/closing responsibilities.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop and adhere to all policies.
