Tom Wood Automotive is seeking a driven Sales Consultant to guide customers through the vehicle buying journey on our Indianapolis floor. You’ll greet clients, understand their needs, and help them navigate options with a friendly, no-pressure approach.

You’ll present features, arrange test drives, discuss financing and trade-ins, and close deals with confidence. We invest in your growth with ongoing training and a path to advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or automotive sales is helpful.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to explain features and benefits clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers like a pro, understand their needs, and guide them through the vehicle buying journey
• Explain features, offer test drives, and help customers find the perfect fit — no pressure, just great service
• Present financing options, trade-in values, and close deals with confidence and professionalism
• Stay sharp on vehicle models, trims, and features with ongoing training (we invest in you)
• Handle paperwork accurately and ensure every deal is clean, compliant, and customer-approve
• Build long-term relationships with your customers — they’ll come back to you because you earned their trust
• Collaborate with finance, service, and fellow sales team members to give every customer a seamless experience
• Hit (and exceed!) your sales goals — with support, mentorship, and room to grow
