Job summary

NAPA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to leverage automotive knowledge and leadership to operate our retail store and support the Store Manager across all functions.

You will oversee counter sales, inventory, delivery coordination, and store routines, while maintaining strong customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels. This role supports development toward Store Manager with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in the automotive after-market or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience is required.
• Strong customer care and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment; knowledge of cataloging/inventory systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a retail/warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, and team performance.
• Lead opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation, and daily reporting.
• Provide coaching and performance management for store functions.
• Drive safety, asset protection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Actively sell and build relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Monitor store metrics and adjust labor planning to meet business needs.
