Job summary

NAPA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to leverage automotive knowledge and leadership to operate our retail store and guide a high-performing team. You will support the Store Manager across store functions while maintaining customer-facing sales duties.

This developmental role emphasizes operations, inventory, scheduling, safety, and coaching, with potential overtime and keyholder responsibilities for opening/closing the store as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or trade school courses or degree preferred.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn required.
• Leadership experience and customer focus essential.
• Familiarity with cataloging/inventory systems plus ASE certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on daily operations, sales, inventory health, and staffing.
• Directly influence and manage store reports and labor planning.
• Actively sell and build relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Oversee opening/closing routines and cash handling procedures.
• Coordinate scheduling, compliance, and performance tracking.
