Job summary

Cox Enterprises is seeking a diligent vehicle inspector to verify VIN, mileage, and sub-series data in our inspection system. You will document exterior and interior condition, inspect equipment, and support PSI/OVE processes with precise data entry.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), basic auto knowledge, and a valid driver's license. Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to multitask in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, or less than 2 years related experience.
• Basic knowledge of automotive body and mechanical work.
• Must pass Inspector Certification Exam within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to multitask and be detail oriented.
• Experience using handheld documentation devices preferred.
• Must regularly stand, walk, talk and hear.
• Physically able to crouch, bend, kneel and reach under a vehicle.
• Good near-vision to identify damage and colors.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate VIN, mileage and sub-series into the inspection system.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and options; document damage, missing or inoperable items.
• Inspect exterior condition including tires, frame, glass, panels and mechanicals.
• Inspect interior condition including seats, dashboard and options.
• Complete and verify data entry for vehicle condition documentation.
• Perform and document post-sale inspections (PSI) and walk-around inspections for online vehicle exchange (OVE).
• Other duties as needed or required.
