Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented vehicle inspector to verify information and document findings for incoming vehicles at our Tolleson site. Inspect interiors, exteriors, odometers, and mechanical systems, then complete reports and assist with end-of-day procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and strong communication. Outdoor work with possible overtime, safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience.
• Safe driver's license required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information based on work order information, identify damage and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up system for day-end; perform day-end procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walk around inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities and relevant software/web-based applications.
• Keep up-to-date on body/mechanical improvements and inspection techniques.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Overtime may be required as needed.
