Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician in Maine to diagnose and repair automotive systems, tanks, tires, and accessories with a focus on first-time quality. The role follows VIP safety policies and requires completing required LMS training and ASE certifications as listed.

The technician works with the Service Manager, prepares Service Work Orders, and participates in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process. A non-exempt hourly schedule applies with standard 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, manuals or procedures.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret instructions and apply them to servicing vehicles.
• Ability to perform automotive services listed in the job duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as Priority #1 and report unsafe conditions.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive systems per ASE classifications.
• Ensure valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed with vehicle.
• Complete MPI prior to initiating service and support 5-for-5 Customer Engagement.
• Return service prints and keys to Service Desk upon completion.
