Job summary

VIP, Inc. seeks a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, replace parts, and ensure services are done right the first time. You will follow safety, loss prevention, and VIP procedures while maintaining strong communication with customers and team members.

The role emphasizes safe vehicle operations, completing service work orders, and participating in training to achieve ASE certifications and state inspections where applicable.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Apply written, oral, diagram, or schedule form instructions.
• Ability to perform the automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as priority; follow safety policies and training.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services for customers across ASE-standard systems.
• Initiate and display valid service work orders during service.
• Complete MPI prior to service and support the 5-for-5 customer engagement process.
