Kelly Services is seeking an Automotive Customer Service Representative to manage customer releases and coordinate order execution between plant production and shipping on a 100% on-site basis in Taylor, MI. The role emphasizes on-time delivery and proactive communication with customers and internal teams.

Key tasks include processing EDI orders, maintaining KPI reporting in Excel, and resolving discrepancies while ensuring alignment between production schedules and customer expectations.

Competenze

• 2+ years in customer service within a manufacturing plant or Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive supplier environment.
• Hands-on experience entering orders and checking inventory in an enterprise ERP system (e.g., SAP, Plex, QAD, MS Dynamics, or Epicor).
• Working knowledge of automotive EDI order processes (releases, schedule adjustments, ASNs) and OEM/supplier portal navigation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with ability to track open orders and format reports.

Mansioni

• Process daily customer releases and purchase orders via EDI (830 planning, 862 daily schedules, 850 POs) and email into the ERP system.
• Coordinate with plant production schedulers, inventory control, and shipping docks to align build schedules with customer delivery dates.
• Identify shipment shortages early; develop recovery plans and coordinate expedited/premium freight to prevent OEM plant disruptions.
• Investigate shipment discrepancies, debit memos, and delivery concerns using BOLs, ASNs, and warehouse records.
• Maintain daily and weekly customer KPI tracking, past-due reports, and open order reports using Excel.
• Serve as the voice of the customer in daily plant meetings with quality, logistics, and production teams.
