The ideal candidate has 2+ years in manufacturing-related customer service, hands-on ERP experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

2+ years in customer service or account coordination within a manufacturing plant or Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive supplier environment.
Hands-on experience entering orders and checking inventory in an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Plex, QAD, Microsoft Dynamics, or Epicor).
Working knowledge of automotive EDI order processes (releases, schedule adjustments, ASNs) and OEM/supplier portal navigation.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for tracking open orders, formatting reports, and using basic formulas.
Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional coordination across plant floor teams and external customers.
Must be able to work 100% on-site in Taylor, MI, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

Process daily customer releases and POs via EDI (830 planning, 862 daily schedules, 850 POs) and email into the ERP system.
Coordinate plant production schedules with inventory control and shipping to align with customer delivery dates.
Identify shortages early and coordinate expedited or premium freight to prevent OEM disruptions.
Investigate shipment discrepancies, debit memos, and delivery concerns by cross-referencing BOLs, ASNs, and warehouse records.
Maintain daily and weekly KPI tracking, past-due reports, and open order reports in Excel.
Serve as the proactive voice of the customer in daily plant meetings with quality, logistics, and production teams.
