Job summary

Sheehan Auto Group is seeking an experienced Full-time Automotive Billing Clerk to manage daily billing tasks accurately and efficiently. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail in a family-owned franchise environment.

The ideal candidate will handle contract documents, posting of sales data, lien payoff processing, and month-end duties, while maintaining organized Excel logs and supporting other accounting activities across the dealership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an automotive accounting office.
• Understanding of the automotive environment and ability to work with other employees.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow a process, follow instructions, and multitask.
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds DMS System preferred.
• Ability to create Microsoft Office documents.

Responsibilities

• Verify all documents are complete, signed and compliant.
• Pull and prepare contract documents for funding mailing.
• Post sales, profit and commissions into the dealer's accounting system Reynolds & Reynolds.
• Keep accurate Excel logs.
• Issue lien payoff checks.
• Reconcile general ledger postings and schedules for accuracy.
• Assist with month-end closing deadlines.
• Call and follow up on titles needed from lenders.
• Assist with stocking in of new and used vehicle inventory.
• Support accounting office activities for sales departments.
• Research and resolve issues as they arise.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Back up other accounting areas as needed.

Description:

Family-owned Franchise dealer seeking an experienced Automotive Biller. This dependable individual to handle the daily billing tasks timely and accurately. The ideal candidate must have excellent people and communication skills and be able to multi-task.

Duties may include:

• Verify all documents are complete,signed and compliant.
• Pull, prepare contract documents to be mailed out for funding.
• Post sales,profit and commissions into dealers accounting system Reynolds & Reynolds.
• Keep accurate excel logs.
• Issue lien payoff checks.
• Reconcile all general ledger postings and schedules for accuracy.
• Assist with month end closing dead line.
• Call and follow up on awaiting titles needed from lenders.
• Assist with stocking in of new and used vehicle inventory.
• Various tasks to assist the accounting office activities in support of the other Sales oriented departments of the dealership.
• Able to research and/or resolve any issues that may arise.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Back up other accounting areas needed.
