Job summary

SMC is seeking an Application Specialist to provide technical expertise and guidance for implementing industrial automation solutions. You will work with clients to optimize processes, design configurations, and tailor automation solutions to their manufacturing needs.

You will train sales employees, customers, and distributors, deliver workshops, and collaborate with engineering teams on product enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced industrial automation product experience with SMC or equivalent.
• CRM experience and ability to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly conference-call updates and share success stories with the branch team.
• Identify and close major revenue-producing projects.
• Collaborate with clients and internal engineering teams to design and customize automation solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive products and industry trends.
• Deliver training sessions to customers and distributors on products and applications.
• Support sales through technical presentations and workshops at client sites.
