Job summary

SMC is seeking an Automation Application Specialist to deliver technical expertise and drive automation projects for our customers in Georgia/Atlanta. You will work with clients to understand manufacturing processes, tailor automation solutions, and train teams on operation and maintenance of systems.

Responsibilities include conducting technical presentations, updating CRM records, and supporting sales with detailed demonstrations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Advanced industrial automation product and application experience with SMC or equivalent industry.
Experience with competitive products and applications.
Ability to apply and implement new high-tech products.
CRM proficiency and willingness to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on automation solutions.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and customize automation systems.
Conduct training sessions for sales, customers, and distributors on products and applications.
Maintain sales activity in SalesConnect CRM with meetings and opportunities.
Support technical presentations to customers and participate in events and demos.
