Job summary

SMC Corporation seeks an Application Specialist to provide technical expertise and guidance for implementing industrial automation solutions. You will work with clients to optimize manufacturing processes and leverage automation technologies effectively.

You will identify customer needs, relay requirements to engineers, and deliver targeted training to sales teams, customers, and distributors, while collaborating with product development for improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced industrial automation product knowledge with SMC or equivalent.
• Experience with competitive products and applications.
• Ability to apply and implement high-tech products.
• Extensive SMC application knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients implementing automation solutions.
• Identify customer specifications and regulatory needs and relay to engineering/product specialists.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops to customers, sales teams, and distributors.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design, configure, and customize automation solutions.
• Support customers during implementation, addressing configuration, integration, and performance issues.
• Maintain sales activity records in CRM and track opportunities.
