Job summary
SMC is seeking an Automation Application Specialist to provide technical expertise, support, and guidance to clients implementing industrial automation solutions. You will work directly with customers, engineering teams, and sales to design, configure, and optimize automation systems across packaging, electronics, food, chemical, automotive and medical sectors.
The role involves traveling to sites, conducting training sessions, and presenting at events to showcase SMC products and applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced industrial automation product and application experience with SMC or equivalent industry.
- Experience with competitive products and applications.
- Ability to apply latest high-tech products.
- Extensive SMC application knowledge or equivalent industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients implementing industrial automation solutions.
- Identify customer specifications and regulatory needs and relay them to engineers or product specialists.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to clients’ engineering and operations teams.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design, configure, and customize automation solutions.
- Support sales with technical presentations and demonstrations at various events.
