Job summary

Lufkin Industries in Odessa, TX is seeking a Sales Rep to report to the Permian Sales Manager. You will work from the office and from home when not at customer sites, driving long-term profitable growth in the Permian Basin.

You will position Lufkin’s automation products and services, build relationships through technical knowledge, integrity and reliable service, and deliver value to meet customers’ needs while shortening sales cycles.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of industry experience in Automation, Oil & Gas, Production.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States; travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers and market segment needs.
• Develop and execute product line strategies.
• Influence customer requirements for tender specs.
• Write proposals in response to RFQs and RFPs.
• Communicate technical knowledge and value propositions.
• Develop new products and service proposals to expand automation portfolio.
• Participate in bidding strategy for key opportunities.
