Job summary

Alsco is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Chicago to perform preventive and specialized maintenance of the facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies. The role emphasizes automation, control systems, and timely repairs to keep operations efficient.

You will collaborate with the General Manager and operations teams, documenting repairs in the PM system and maintaining critical plant infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical training preferred.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, controls, steam/boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety compliance.
• Boiler operator license and wastewater certification are preferred in some states; PM systems experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management and operations to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
