Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Chicago, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and specialized maintenance of the facility and its equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with plant personnel, use a computerized PM program, troubleshoot automation and control systems, and maintain wastewater and power plant equipment, contributing to safe, cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and controls.
• Ability to work in industrial laundry environment and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other key operational partners to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with an emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
