Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Hodges, SC seeks an Operations Technician I to manage operation, maintenance, sanitation, and changeovers of production equipment. You will collaborate across teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality output and support continuous improvement initiatives on the factory floor.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, adherence to safety and GMP standards, and data-driven decision making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work any shift, weekends, and mandatory overtime.
• Proficient with computers, software, and data processing.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, adherence to standards, initiative, and effective workload management.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and to climb stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and change over automated production equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks with support from maintenance.
• Record production data accurately in SAP and other systems.
• Conduct quality inspections and sampling for SPC activities.
• Support SI and GMP compliance and safety procedures on the floor.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Kaizen events.
• Share knowledge and train team members as needed.
