Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. seeks an Automation Maintenance Lead to support Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs and VFDs in the Greater Milwaukee area.

Direct-hire with shift options (1st/2nd/3rd) and a starting rate up to $38/hr plus differential, bonuses, and profit-sharing. You will own real-time maintenance of automated lines, trace PLC faults, interpret ladder logic, and work on robotics and high-voltage systems up to 480V.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on maintenance of high-speed production machinery or heavy industrial equipment.
Automation and PLC diagnostic skills across automated lines.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings without assistance.
Stable work history with strong attendance and safety focus.
Residence within 45-minute drive of Greater Milwaukee, WI; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Diagnose automated production lines; perform real-time mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics.
Interface with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs to trace faults and restore production rapidly.
Read schematics and ladder logic to perform emergency repairs and preventive maintenance.
Maintain fluid power systems including pneumatics and valves.
Service AC/DC drives and power distribution up to 480V; manage sensors and low-voltage controls.
Perform light fabrication to modify or repair equipment components.
