Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking an Automation Maintenance Lead for Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs & VFDs in the Greater Milwaukee area. This direct-hire role offers up to $38/hour plus shift differentials, bonuses, and profit sharing, with shift options across all three traditional times.

You will diagnose real-time production lines, trace ladder logic, service 480V systems, and own complex automation, robotics, and high-speed machinery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance in high-speed production environments.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing automated lines, PLCs, and robotics.
• Proficient reading of electrical schematics and ladder logic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automated production lines in real time to maximize efficiency.
• Navigate and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs to clear faults.
• Trace schematics and drawings to perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain fluid power systems and perform repairs on pneumatic components.
• Work with AC/DC drives and power distribution up to 480V and VFDs.
• Perform light fabrication or welding to adapt or repair equipment.
