Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in the Greater Milwaukee area seeks an Automation Maintenance Lead to manage advanced electromechanical and PLC-driven lines.

This is a direct-hire role with multiple shifts and a competitive hourly base up to $38, plus bonuses. You will perform real-time diagnostics, fault tracing on Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, service VFDs, and troubleshoot 480V electrical systems while maintaining a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to commute within 45 minutes of Greater Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automated production lines in real time.
• Navigate PLC logic and controls to trace faults and clear stoppages.
• Trace schematics and drawings for emergency repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain fluid power systems including pneumatics and valves.
• Service AC/DC drives and power distribution up to 480V with VFDs and motors.
• Perform light fabrication/modification of equipment.
