Job summary

Siemens is offering a Smart Building Internship in Cromwell, CT for engineering and HVAC-focused students. You will gain hands-on experience at job sites, shadow technicians, and rotate through service and project delivery teams to learn installation, maintenance, and commissioning of building automation systems.

You will work 40 hours weekly for a 10-week program, onsite, with potential to learn sales exposure and engineering coordination. High school diploma and US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical college/program pursuing HVAC/building automation or related field.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-week program (May–July or June–August).
• Work authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and working in varied environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoors).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows-based laptops; quick to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of your time on job sites with experienced Siemens technicians.
• Diagnose issues and assist in maintenance and new installations and system commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve discrepancies in drawings.
