Job summary

Tyfone, a leader in SaaS digital banking and payments, seeks a senior QA Automation Engineer to mentor a 2–4 person team and drive automated testing across API, Web, and mobile platforms. You will collaborate with engineering to translate product requirements into robust automation strategies and implement AI-enhanced testing as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience leading a QA team of 2-4 engineers.
• Extensive experience in Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Proven Test Automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Groovy and Python.
• Experience with API testing frameworks.
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Katalon.
• Mobile application testing experience.
• Experience in defining test scenarios, writing test cases, and data mgmt.
• Experience with databases is a plus.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Experience in defect tracking and Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong automation-first mindset and scalable automation architecture.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven testing tools and eager to adopt new AI capabilities in QA.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strong advocate for quality and partner with cross-functional teams to craft schedules and test plans.
• Lead a team of QA developers to build and drive automated test suites for API, Web, and Mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with Engineering leadership to understand product functionality for automation planning.
• Evaluate and improve SQA methodologies and documentation.
• Plan and execute automation strategy and timelines.
• Maintain test execution results and reports.
• Champion automation-first testing to maximize coverage, speed, and confidence across platforms.
• Explore AI/ML testing tools to improve efficiency and quality.
